| It was Sunday August 5, 1979. Jennie and son Charlie were attending Dr. Robert Schuller, Sr.'s Garden Grove Community Church, where Dr. Charlie Shedd was giving the sermon for vacationing Schuller.
Fifteen years, three months and a day later—November 6, 1994—Jennie would return with son Charlie and daughters Charlene and Mary for an Hour of Power service conducted by Dr. Schuller himself. The service was held in the Crystal Cathedral, which by then had replaced the original Community Church building, and included Jewish writer Art Buchwald (1925–2007). This episode of Hour of Power aired Sunday November 13, 1994. |
